Featuring increased stability in comparison to the fully elasticated Allard Selection Soft Beige Left Thumb Support, the Allard Selection Rigid Beige Left Thumb Support utilises a non-elastic fabric around the thumb section to allow for greater restriction of movement. The thumb support allows for thumb joint rehabilitation and repair, targeting mild-to-moderate arthritis in the first CMC (Carpometacarpal) joint.

The Allard Selection Rigid Thumb Support is available in five sizes. To find your size, you must measure the circumference of your wrist:

Which Model Should I Choose?

The Allard Selection Thumb Support is available in a number of colours and functions. The Rigid Support offers greater stability due to a non-elasticated thumb section, whilst the Soft Support offers greater mobility due to a fully-elasticated thumb section.

The Selection Rigid Thumb Support is designed to restrict the movement of fractured and torn tendons/joints in order to facilitate full recovery. As such, the Rigid Support is appropriate for the following conditions:

Not only has the hook and loop material been integrated to ensure a low profile fit, but the material does not require any edging tape, ensuring practictioners have less of a task fitting the orthosis.

How Do You Fit the Selection Rigid Thumb Support?

1. Check that the support is complete and without damage.
2. Attach the thumb strap and place the opening over the thumb with the orthosis towards the back of the hand.
3. Pull the strap around the wrist and secure.
4.  Adjust the strap around the thumb so it feels comfortable.
5. Adjust for comfort.

Washing Instructions

1. Close all Velcro prior to laundering.
2. Machine wash in 40°C gentle cycle.
3. Use a washing bag. 
4. Dry flat. Do not tumble dry or dry clean.
