The BioSkin Thumb Spica is a low profile thumb brace designed to provide the maximum comfort and immobilisation of your wrist.

Thumb complaints can be quite painful as well as extremely frustrating given the importance of the appendage in holding an item or in picking something up. In many professions and hobbies the hand is at risk of injury. This could be overuse injuries, doing repetitive tasks at work or using your hands to break your fall during sports. As you use your hands so often, any injury is painful and debilitating, with the constant risk of aggravating the damage. 

The BioSkin Thumb Spica is designed to minimise movement of the thumb following injury, whether a sprain or a broken thumb. During rehabilitation it is important that the affected area is protected, whilst still allowing the movement of the fingers and therefore allowing you to carry out daily tasks unhindered. BioSkin is designed to give a compressed fit that allows for full support, for some wearers this may feel strange or uncomfortable at first. If you find yourself between sizes it is recommended that you select the larger size unless you desire a tighter fit.
