Extended Thumb Spica

It’s vital that injured thumbs can be properly immobilised, however it can also be important to limit movement of the wrist to enable correct healing. The Extended Thumb Spica immobilises thumb and reduces wrist movement, while providing comfort and a great fit for maximum patient compliance.

Supports Thumb and Wrist

Made using thermoplastic, the spica immobilises the thumb to provide effective control while also limiting unwanted flexion and extension of the wrist. This enables the thumb to remain fully immobilised and helps encourage healing while also reducing pain. 

A soft plaztazote lining underneath the outer shell and comfort elastic stretch strap at the palm helps ensure comfort for the wearer, and secure hook and loop fastening ensures the spica stays in place while also providing an adjustable fit.

Easy to Wear and Maintain

To give an even more custom fit, the spica can be heat moulded with a hot air gun for maximum effectiveness. Additionally, the spica can easily be washed to ensure hygiene and freshness are maintained.
