What Differentiates the FootActive Football Insoles from Other Insoles?
Tight sports boots with cleats, such as football boots, represent a unique issue for your feet since they generally come without foot support and do not have room for conventional insoles. The slimline design of these insoles allows you to access support without sacrificing the performance boost from your boots.
What Is Pronation?
Pronation is the inward rolling of the ankle or foot. Some degree of pronation occurs in natural walking, but overpronation can have negative effects beyond the feet. It can contribute to knee pain and shin splints, as well as other lower leg problems. Supination is the opposite of pronation (outward rolling of the ankle or foot) and represents similar risks.
During sports – particularly physically dynamic sports like football and rugby – the risk of injury due to overpronation is even greater. Combined with strength and stretching programmes, orthotic foot insoles are a key way to keep pronation under control and avoid injury.
