The Pedag Barefoot Insoles are ideal for people that are looking for the same comfort provided by the Pedag Viva Sport Insoles or Pedag Viva Insoles but with added features that make them great for summer. The Viva Summer Insoles have an anatomical design that supports your feet and promotes alignment in your feet, but (unlike other insoles) they do not require you to wear socks.

What Makes the Viva Summer Insoles Perfect for Bare Feet?

While many insoles are not designed to be used directly in contact with your skin, causing your feet to become sweaty or irritating the skin, the Viva Summer use natural bamboo fibres that act almost like a sock. These fibres are designed to wick sweat in the same way that a sock would, absorbing the moisture to keep your feet comfortable. As well as absorbing-sweat, bamboo fibres are known to prevent the growth of bacteria, which keeps your shoes fresher, even on the hottest summer’s days.

As more people are becoming aware of the impact their consumption has on the world, more and more people are turning to natural, sustainable and vegan materials in their clothing and footwear. Pedag Barefoot Insoles are an excellent choice for this, being made from 100% natural and vegan materials including bamboo terrycloth and sisal hemp fibre.

What Are the Benefits of the Materials Used?

• Bamboo Terrycloth: As well as being soft and comfortable against skin, bamboo fibres are six times more absorbent than cotton and are also naturally antimicrobial. Bamboo is a renewable resource that grows quickly, uses little water, requires no pesticides and is biodegradable – a huge advantage for the environment over alternative materials.

• Sisal Hemp Padding: Sisal is a plant-based fibre that is made from the leaves of the agave plant. By pressing Sisal fabric together, it creates an elastic structure that allows air to circulate in the shoe and comfortably cushions the foot.

How Do I Keep These Insoles Fresh?

While the Viva Summer Insoles are antibacterial, but in order to keep them at their very best we recommend cleaning them periodically. This should be done by hand ONLY, as machine washing can damage the special glue used in the insoles.

Pedag are very proud of their German routes and they have been hand-crafting insoles in Germany since 1955. All of their insoles are manufactured in an area near Berlin called Königs Wusterhausen – supporting local jobs and ensuring a fair wage for every pair that is made.
