Soft Humeral Fracture Brace
After a fracture of the humerus bone in the upper arm, it’s important to ensure the injured area is protected and supported to allow the recovery process to take place. The Soft Humeral Fracture Brace has a trilaminate construction featuring a semi-flexible foam and an smart-textile inner lining that provide an excellent level of support while being remarkably comfortable.
The Soft Humeral Fracture Brace
To determine which size of the Soft Humeral Fracture Brace is right for you, measure the proximal circumference and distal circumference of your humerus on your upper arm. To determine your proximal circumference, measure around the upper end of the humerus nearest your shoulder. Distal circumference is measured around elbow end of the humerus.

What Makes the Fracture Rehabilitation Brace Unique?
The inner lining of this brace is treated with Coolmax, helping to reduce perspiration for long-lasting comfort. The liner has undergone silver ion treatment which has been shown to have remarkable anti-microbial properties, helping to prevent the build-up of bacteria, improving hygiene and reducing unwanted odours.
How Adjustable Is This Soft Humerus Brace?
To ensure everyone can enjoy a comfortable bespoke fit, the Soft Humeral Fracture Brace is trimmable and fully adjustable. It is supplied with a lightweight humeral sock and fully adjustable hook-and-loop strap closures, providing comfort that will allow the brace to be worn for long periods of time.
How Tight Should a Humerus Brace Be?
The humerus brace must be fairly tight to achieve the desired stabilisation and support, so the aim is to get the brace as tight as possible without reducing circulation. Any pins and needles or numbness are signs that the brace is too tight and should be loosened immediately.
How Effective Are Soft Humeral Braces Compared to Harder Braces and Casts?
Softer braces are recommended for older people who’ve lost some skin elasticity, as rigid braces can cause a range of different skin issues. The biggest downside of soft braces is that they are sometimes loosened to the point where they no longer provide adequate support; as long as the brace isn’t excessively loose it will provide the adequate support for a quick and effective healing process.
